Before playing a match for Al Hilal, Neymar announced the bad news for the new team.
Having just switched from PSG to Al Hilal, Neymar did not participate in Al Feiha’s Saturday match. The reason is because the Brazilian player has an injury.
Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia paid a very high price for Neymar’s services. After six seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, the Brazilian player agreed to leave and go to the Middle East – where he received huge compensation.
Constantly suffering from fitness problems, Neymar missed many matches during his years with PSG. And that obsession continued to haunt him in Al Hilal.
After the 1-1 draw against Al Feiha, coach Jorge Jesus mentioned Neymar’s case. The Portuguese military leader explained:
“Neymar can do anything with the ball. He is one of the best in the world, I have no doubt about that, but provided he is in good physical condition. He came here with a minor injury and hasn’t been able to train with the team yet. I don’t know when he’ll be back.”
Fans were confused when Neymar was injured but still passed the medical examination without any problems. Oddly enough, Neymar was still called up to the Brazil squad despite the injury.
“I don’t know why Brazil called up Neymar when he was injured. Maybe they will force him to go to Brazil, but he can’t play now. Neymar can’t train… first Neymar has to get in shape to start playing,” said coach Jesus.
GOAL reports that Al Hilal’s medical team is confident that Neymar will return to play after the team gathering period. That means he will make his debut on September 15, when the team welcomes Al Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League.
