The Neymar Jr. era at Paris Saint-Germain ended this week as the 31-year-old’s move to Al-Hilal became official. Many will comment on the transfer as the days, months, and even years go by.
Newly hired PSG manager Luis Enrique spoke with reporters on Friday ahead of their match against Toulouse FC on Saturday at Stadium TFC. As a result, Enrique gave his thoughts on the entire Neymar saga that led to the player’s exit.
“I think it was a favorable decision for everyone,” Enrique told reporters. “I would like to thank him for the behavior he has shown when I have had him since I arrived. He is a world-class player and I wish him good luck in his new adventure.”
With Neymar gone, the capital club handed over the No. 10 jersey to Ousmane Dembélé. It was the first step in beginning the post-Neymar era at PSG. Nonetheless, not seeing the Brazilian out there for the Ligue 1 giants will take some time to get used to.
Still, the French side won’t lack any firepower on attack as Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé will reportedly be in the starting 11 for PSG. So many will get a look at this new look offense against Toulouse to see whether they can replace the 2015 UEFA Champions League winner.
